Minutes of the special meeting of the Public Building and Site Commission held on Thursday, December 16, 2010. Chairman Robert Mitchell called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Present: Robert Mitchell, Thomas Catalina, Anthony D’Angelo, Robert Edwards, James Juliano, Roger Letso, Peter Samoskevich , Joseph Whelan. Absent: Joseph Girgasky
Also Present: Clerk of the Works William Knight.
Mr. Edwards moved to enter executive session at 7:00 p.m. for the purpose of presentations of the Middle School Roof project by architectural firms. Seconded by Mr. Juliano. Unanimously accepted.

Executive session was exited at 10:15 p.m.
Adjournment. Upon motion by Mr. D’Angelo, seconded by Mr. Samoskevich and unanimously accepted, the meeting adjourned at 10:15 p.m. with no action taken.

This is a special meeting called by the Town of Newtown Public Buildings and Site Commission to interview two architectural firms who were short listed for the Newtown Middle School re-roofing project in response to the Town’s Request for Proposal.
I propose that we move into Executive Session to protect trade secrets, and to facilitate a discussion with the firms which includes their full range of information. I certify that the public interest in the confidentiality of the responses is outweighed by the public interest in its disclosure.
I will entertain such a motion at this time.
